Greetings! I'm Sir Guy. You may call me "my Lord of Gisburne". I've noticed an alarming number of Robin Hood sites on the Net. Wolfsheads have begun robbing people of their home pages! I realized that something had to be done about it or we'd have another Sherwood Forest on our hands! I needed a secret weapon...I needed ME! Therefore, I decided to invade this page so that closet Guy Groupies everywhere might have an outlaw-free haven to turn to. Feel free to explore my knightly domain. Just remember that the chivalric code is in effect and I will be collecting your taxes before you head back out the door!
Guard Application and Sherwood Recruitment Office Forms Are Working Again!
It's official. I'm the worst site owner who ever lived. I've known for months that neither the Guard Application nor Sherwood Recruitment Office forms have been working, but I've only just gotten around to fixing them. I owe a huge apology to anyone who has tried to use either of these forms in the fairly recent past. They've both been fixed now if you would like to try again. In future, I'll try to keep a better eye on them.
Stalky & Co. Petition
My good friend Magdalena has started a
petition to a) ascertain whether there are any surviving copies of the series Stalky & Co. and b) convince the BBC to air the episodes (or release them on DVD) if any copies have survived. For those of you who don't know, Robert Addie played the title role (e.g. Stalky) in this 1981/82 TV series that was based on the Rudyard Kipling novel. Unfortunately, the BBC supposedly destroyed its copy of the series. However, those of us who have signed the
petition figure that it can't hurt to inquire after any lost copies. If nothing else, this petition might persuade the BBC that there is interest in the series and it would be to their benefit to hunt down any available copies.
For anyone who is interested in Stalky & Co., I definitely recommend reading the novel. If you can't track down a copy, you can find many of the stories at Bibliomania.
